The Trobaugh-Good House is named after two families who lived in this one-room log house back in the 1860s. Joseph Trobaugh was from Tennessee, and he and his wife Elizabeth are the first known inhabitants of the house. Trobaugh was a sawmill operator, and he made several changes to the house during his time there. The second family to live there was the Good family. Emanuel Good was a war veteran who lived in the house with his wife and children. The home was sold after Emanuel’s death. Today, the house’s design reflects the time period of the first inhabitants, and it offers a unique look into what life was like back in those times. People had to work hard every day to ensure their survival, and the home’s many features reflect that reality. It’s a great way to learn about how much times have changed since then.
Of course, one of the main differences between the 1860s and now is the fact that we now have vehicles that can take us just about everywhere we want to go. Celebrate that fact by picking out a new vehicle from Bob Brady Honda in Decatur, Illinois. Our helpful sales staff will be happy to assist you in finding everything you need.
