Halloween is right around the corner, and that’s pretty scary… especially when you think about how your health goals are going to suffer. After all, there’s something that’s just too tempting about that whole bowl of Halloween candy that’s just sitting by your front door. Therefore, if you want to stick to your health goals during the season, you’re going to have to make a concerted effort to work out regularly – maybe more than you’re used to. That’s exactly why you’ll want to make plans to Run the Runway at the Decatur Airport.
This is your chance to participate in a Halloween-themed race at the “Scareport,” which is one of the most exciting events coming up this season. It’s all going down on Saturday, Oct. 19, and it will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Make plans to come on out, and you’ll be working off all that Halloween candy in no time.
What You Need to Know
So, you want to sign up for this race? Well, you should do so as soon as possible if you want to make sure you have a slot available. The price of the race is $26. However, if you wait until the day of the race to register, it’s going to cost you $31 instead. At 6 p.m., the Tot Trot will begin, which is when your little ones can race toward the finish line. But at 7 p.m., you’ll finally get the chance to start the 5k or the 10k. Choose whatever race sounds more appealing to you. If you’re just getting started on your running journey, then the 5k could be a good place to start. On the other hand, if you really want to challenge yourself, then the 10k could be the way to go.
Dress Up
This is a Halloween-themed run, which means that you can have a lot of fun with it. That’s why you should consider dressing up. It makes it so much more exciting, and you can really get creative with your costume. Just make sure to choose something that will be relatively easy to run in!

Accessible
Are you or is someone you know participating with a wheelchair? That’s no problem at all. In addition, you can feel to bring your baby strollers along. That way, just about everyone can participate in the fun. However, just keep in mind that you can’t bring roller blades, inline skates, or pets with you. Be sure to leave them at home!
