More and more people are discovering the fun and creativity of tabletop gaming. And at Heroicon, fans can gather to see the newest games and developments. You might already know Heroicon is the only tabletop gaming convention in Decatur held annually. And the organizers want to invite you to be part of the best one yet. Get your badge for Heroicon and prepare for a fun day.

Crucial Details to Know

The dates for Heroicon are fast approaching. This year’s convention is May 5-7, 2023, at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. On Friday, stop by between 12:00 noon and 11:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, is a shorter day, and you can attend between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. But you don’t want to wait to get your badges to attend. And if you also want to submit an event, that deadline is coming soon. Submit your events by April 21 to ensure you get your spot.

Planning Your Visit

Some people can only attend one day, while others try to visit all three days. Whatever your plans are, connect with your friends on the official Heroicon Discord server. There, you can decide which games you’ll visit and more. And with more than 15,000 square feet of gaming space, you’ll need to have a strategy to ensure you see everything. Supporting Heroicon

If you already got your badge and want more ways to support Heroicon, never fear. Of course, you can submit an event or create an exhibition. In addition, there’s great merchandise available to buy. And your merch purchases go to a good cause. All the convention proceeds help to fund Games for Troops. This non-profit sends card games, board games, and more to troops serving overseas. People in the military can request a game. Then the funds Heroicon and merchandise sales raise help to fill those orders.

Another way to support Heroicon is to volunteer. You can select more than one shift to help out. In addition, you can keep track of your shifts on the website. Of course, you can also support the convention by encouraging your friends to get their badges.
