Springfield’s Boondocks pub welcomes two country music heavyweights – Dallas Moore and Justin Wells – for one rollicking night Saturday, March 16 at 7 p.m.
Dallas Moore
Moore, who bills himself as a “Modern Day Hardcore Troubadour,” tours with his award-winning Dallas Moore Band and is one of the hardest-working men in music. (He’s been making music for more than 20 years and performed 327 shows in 2017.) His performances attract fans of artists such as Willie Nelson, the Allman Brothers, and Lynyrd Skynyrd; to get a taste of Jones’s deft singer/songwriter skills, listen to a few of his tunes here.
Justin Wells
Wells’s trademark long locks and gray-flecked beard contribute to a hardened look that belies the musician’s tender, soulful tunes, which he describes as “sad songs, mad songs. Mostly loud songs.” For the March 16 performance, he’ll be blowing the roof off with the Craig Gerdes Band. You can listen to a sampling of Wells’s style, including songs from his 2016 album, “Dawn in the Distance,” by checking out the videos on his Facebook page.
